How to Download Videos on Instagram Without the Need for any 3rd Party Software

Popular photo and video sharing platform Instagram, has over the years grown to become a favourite of many people, brands and businesses alike

Scrolling through your IG feed, then bam, you are hit with a video you’d like to download and save, but wondering the fastest and easiest method to do so without the need to use install any 3rd party software or application.

Follow along as I show you a simple chrome browser method you can use to download any Instagram video on the platform

NB: This tutorial only requires the use of Google Chrome browser but the process is pretty much similar and works even if you use other browsers such as firefox

1. Login to Instagram.com in your chrome browser
2. Open up the video you want to play (Don’t play it)
3. Go to the 3 dots on the far right corner of your chrome browser
4. Scroll down to More tools
5. Select Developer tools

6. Choose Network and select Media
7. Now play the video, a link will be generated
8. Right-click and open the link in a new tab

9. On the New tab either hit the 3 dots and download or right-click and SAVE AS as MP4

or

Update: FireFox Browser

1. Go to Instagram.com
2. Right-click on the video you want to download
3. Choose View Page Info
4. Go to Media
5. Scroll down to the video and Save
